Do you comply with the legal responsibilities in Kentucky when educating your ELL students?

From a classmate of mine. Worth the time to measure yourself against the laws.

Below is a link to the KDEA website. Specifically, this section of the website goes over what you need to do in order to comply with Title III.

  1. ELL should have an opportunity to learn a third language.
  2. Be aware of the growing Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students (PDs are available!)
  3. Use the WIDA Standards in addition to the Kentucky Core Academic Standards
  4. Home Language Survey
  5. WIDA annual English Language Proficiency Test (ACCESS)
